Yahoo! More than just a search engine

Greetings,

Has this happened to you lately?

I entered an appointment into my IPAQ that was scheduled for today. I had all the pertinent info, contact name, address and phone number. This appointment was the first meeting with a potential client.

I knew I had the appointment today, though I could not remember the specifics. Wouldn't you know it, I forgot the IPAQ when I left the house this morning.

Fortunately, my wife was home and was able to retrieve the info for me. I met with the client and everything went great.

As I reviewed the events of the day, I realized that many people probably have the same problem. How often do schedule something and then forget your PDA at home or at the office.

I recalled a conversation I had with a client the other day. He told me how he used the calendar feature of yahoo to track his events. He is a road warrior so he is rarely in the office, though he always needs access to his calendar. He also need to have his staff be able to update the calendar on a regular basis.

I went to Yahoo! Calendar and checked it out. I learned that the calendar feature will do many things that I didn't even know that I needed. The feature that excited me the most was the ability to sync with Outlook and my IPAQ.

I tested it out and it works really well. I was able to sync with my IPAQ within a few minutes. I need to play with it more to see what else it can do.
